Week 3: We reveal our Mustang Body Design and Shoot Color
Week 3 of HPI Racing’s RS4 Sport3 Creator Edition R/C car build-off
Welcome to Week 3 of our HPI Racing RS4 Sport3 Creator Edition radio-controlled car build-off! We’ve been having a lot of fun assembling our R/C car over the last few weeks and it’s really starting to take shape this week as we trim the polycarbonate body and paint it to match our Week to Wicked 1966 Mustang we built back in 2017 (our first W2W build!). If you’re not familiar with our Week to Wicked build series simply hit Mustang-360.com’s search function and you’ll find all the content, videos, and more of our previous three builds (and we have a fourth one coming this July so stay tuned for more on that!).
Week 1 of our HPI Racing RS4 Sport3 Creator Edition build-off was where we unboxed our chassis and introduced everyone to the build-off. If you missed our build-off intro and video see it HERE. Likewise, our Week 2 segment, where we installed all of our chassis electronics and tested our radio system, is available HERE if you missed it as well. For week 3 of the build-off the participants—which include Chris de Graaf of Hemistorm RC (www.hemistorm.com), Greg Vogel of RC Driver (www.rcdriver.com), Kyle St. Peter of FotoGuy RC (www.fotoguyrc.com), and Rich Morgan of The RC Network (www.thercnetwork.com)—will be unveiling the body they’ve chosen for their build-off project. We’re fairly confident that we’re the only Mustang in the build-off and also most likely the only R/C body fashioned after a full-size real car. We’ll just have to check out everyone’s videos and see if our hunch is right.
Keep tabs on everyone’s builds on social media by searching for #hpibuildoff and come back next week as we debut the finished RS4 Sport3 Creator Edition Build-Off Mustang project!
